Transport Manager

Are you an experienced Transport Manager looking for a new role?

AGM Chilled Distribution are a leading independent provider of time sensitive chilled and frozen deliveries and are seeking to appoint an experienced dynamic and talented Transport Manager for its Corby Operating Centre located at Rockingham Business Centre.

The Transport Manager will be responsible for leading and developing an established highly motivated team, helping to drive business results forward whilst providing the highest levels of customer service. At AGM our reputation is key and providing unrivalled service is what we do.

The Transport Manager will be flexible, forward thinking, and have an ability to work under pressure in a time critical environment, instilling confidence in the team and managing a fast paced office. The applicant must hold a valid National/International Transport Manager’s CPC.

Responsibilities

As a Transport Manager, the successful candidate will be required to:

  • Ensuring AGM performs efficiently and effectively – providing a high quality, cost effective service for AGM customers including route planning.
  • Ensure the adequate communication of information to all members of staff.
  • Manage all driver and vehicle regulations ensuring AGM are fully compliant with DVSA legislation.
  • Dealing with customer issues and providing corrective action.
  • On boarding of suppliers, sub-contractors and management of relationship.
  • Carry out any other relevant duties as requested by the Managing Director.
  • On call out of hours on a rota basis

    Salary of £32,000 – £35,000 dependent on experience.

    The holiday allowance will be 28 days including bank holidays.

    You will be provided with company laptop & phone.

    Fuel allowance is also provided.
